Edit a dashboard

After creating a dashboard, it can easily be edited and reconfigured. For example, your team might want to add a new gadget or change the layout. You must be the dashboard owner or have editing permissions to edit a dashboard's details.
To edit a dashboard:
  1. In the sidebar, select Dashboards.
  2. Select your dashboard if it's in recent or starred, or select View all dashboards and locate your dashboard.
  3. In the upper-right of your dashboard, select Edit.
👇 The Edit button will appear on the dashboard if you have the correct editing permissions.

Copy a dashboard

Copying a dashboard creates a clone of the dashboard and all its gadgets. When you copy a dashboard, you can choose a different name and reconfigure the viewing and editing permissions. This is helpful when using identical dashboard layouts for different teams.
To copy a dashboard:
  1. In the upper-right of your dashboard, select More actions (represented by •••).
  2. Select Copy.
  3. Edit the name and description of the dashboard, if needed.
  4. Configure the permissions.

View your dashboard as a wallboard

A wallboard is like a scoreboard at a sporting event. They are large, highly visible, easy to understand, and display information for anyone walking by to see. Wallboards hide any navigation menus and rotate through the dashboard’s gadgets. This simplified view makes it ideal for presenting on TV monitors.
To view a dashboard as a wallboard:
  1. In the sidebar, select Dashboards.
  2. Select your dashboard if it's in recent or starred, or select View all dashboards and locate your dashboard.
  3. In the upper-right of your dashboard, select More actions (represented by •••), then View as wallboard.
👇 Turn any Jira dashboard into a wallboard by plugging your computer into a TV monitor.

The gadgets will rotate when you display them as a wallboard. To avoid this, change the color of the gadgets and ensure gadgets in the same row have the same color.
